We define an emergency as a life threatening condition that cannot wait for the commencement of normal business hours.
We ask that you respect this when seeking veterinary attention after hours. Always telephone first. This will enable us to prepare for your arrival.
MicroChipping
Proves identification and helps get pets returned.
It is compulsory for Shire registration.
If you advertise a puppy, kitten, dog or cat for sale or to give away in Victoria, you will need a source number from the Pet Exchange Register. This source number must be displayed on all your advertisements along with each animal’s microchip number.
A source number is required when implanting a microchip into a dog or cat born after 1 July 2020.

DeSexing
Desexing can be performed in both dogs and cats from approximately 3 months of age, depending on your pet's breed and your veterinarian's recommendation.
Castration (males) helps reduce roaming, urine spraying, mounting, and some hormone-driven aggression.
Speying (females) prevents unwanted pregnancies, eliminates the risk of pyometra (uterine infection), and significantly reduces the risk of mammary cancer when performed before the first heat.

For the safest procedure, female pets are generally not desexed while in season, pregnant, or within 6 weeks of giving birth.
Desexing also helps reduce pet overpopulation, and many councils offer reduced annual registration fees for desexed pets.
